Some California health insurance companies do offer coverage at a 20 or 50 percent rate in premium with no change in the benefits for the plan applied for. If you do get a rated policy it is very important that you accept the offer. Get the coverage in force and then you can shop around at other carriers if you want. Remember! Accept the rated plan. Get a policy issued then shop around. If you do not accept the rated up plan you may not be able to get coverage at another carrier and then you will have no coverage.
